Tails you lose, Heads you lose...

I don't deny being a bit of a leftest at heart, I don't call it Socialism or Communism, I call it Humanism.. I feel for others and I have to speak my mind out when I see wrongs...

For the past few days, all I hear on TV, Radio and Internet, is "Gordon Brown" bullying claims... The claims and campaign are so intense, orchestrated and sustained to cause a maximum amount of damage. With Christine Pratt, the founder of the National Bullying Helpline (a dubious charity), being at the forefront of it all (counter bullying with more bullying of her own)... With poor Mr. Brown being pushed from pillar to post by bullies...

The good news is, this is one of these stunts that have backfired badly, and today - Tory MP Ann Widdecombe has resigned as patron of the anti-bullying charity - The MP said publicising the phone calls to the National Bullying Helpline had been a breach of confidentiality. - Prof Cary Cooper (a workplace stress expert, and another patron of the charity), has also resigned,  he told the BBC he was "really upset" and that it was "wholly inappropriate" to publicly name any employer in case it left the caller open to identification - "[As] a helpline or counselling service you never, ever reveal anything to do with when a client calls you in any way," - Sara Cawood (TV Presenter and another patron also resigned) - In a statement issued by her agent, Ms Cawood said: "In light of the recent events where confidential phone calls were made public, I feel it is no longer a campaign with which I would like my name to be associated."Mrs Pratt, who first called the BBC unprompted on Sunday, has denied her actions were politically motivated and the Conservatives say Labour are simply trying to "smear the messenger".

Political motivations?  Lord Mandelson said a "political operation" was being directed at the prime minister and suggested Conservative press officers had been "guiding journalists towards Mrs Pratt, assuming that she had some fuel to throw on this fire."
The Charity Commission says it received a number of complaints over the weekend concerning the National Bullying Helpline and that it would be contacting the organisation for further information.
Mrs Pratt has been criticised by another charity, Bullying UK, which said it was "horrified" she had "all but identified" one caller in media interviews. "It's hard to imagine a more serious breach of confidentiality," it said on its website.

PS. Hi there, its doctor Nick.. How could you not love this man - The photo has not been touched, he just has a natural Aura (Halo) and a sparkle when he smiles. Take home the DVD of the "This is it" Michael Jackson Concert - The concert that never was.. I think the only thing that they've got left to sell is his ground bones as an aphrodisiac.. . If it was legal, I think they would do it....

Its a case of bad parenting..

Desperate and Angry, and want the UK Police to take over the investigation - Kate & Gerry McCann revealed today. My 2 Cents, these are the faces of a couple of "Unfit parents that should have been brought to justice for Child negligence"...

Team GB - Dubai 2010

Watching the news today, and reading about the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai....

There is something very Monty Pythonesque about the whole affair, instead of sending a "Lone Assassin", like you do in all, good and bad, spy novels, somebody somewhere decided to send over the Football Team. And as any person with a bit of common sense would know, that if you have more people involved, then there is a higher risk of being discovered, a bigger trail to cover, a higher risk of leaving clues or even failure...

I'm not going to comment on the legality or morality of the operation, but 2 wrongs never make a right, regardless...

Things I'd like to do - before I go, go...

上帝 - I'm in Chains

I don't know whether the link will work for you or not. The story is about a Chinese father who chains his 2 year old son to a lamppost while he goes to work... He has to do it, because he can't afford the Kindergarten fees, and if he doesn't, someone might kidnap his son, like they did with his 4 year old daughter... The mother is ill and unable to look after the children, and the cost of health-care is very prohibitive, so the poor man just have to struggle along. The funny thing is, the man lives in China, the People and Workers Socialist Paradise, which has been for the past 70 years. And it is good to know that the "People's Republic of China", is still unable to, and does not want to look after its people, especially the poor and weak...

Same day, there is an article about Emma Watson (Harry Potter Actress) being one of Hollywood's highest earning actresses. She is 19, she earned £20 million in 2009, and its nothing to do with the talent or lack of it. We just have to look forward to the day when she is a bit older, then she can adopt a third world child and solve all the ills of this world, just like how Madonna solved the problems of Africa...

If there is a God, then why do bad things happen to good people?...

Today, 22-04-2010 new photos added...

PS. I did not mean to infringe any copyright issues - I would happily remove these photos upon request...

Oranges are not the only fruit..

Today, once again, it was time for the monthly statements print run. And just when I was about to start, I noticed that I did not have enough paper... So the plan was to drive to town and pick up a couple of paper reams.

The nearest parking space was at the local market. So, I paid the fee and walked to the stationers. I picked the paper and walked back to the car. I had to cut through the market once more to get to the car park...

Me, being just like any other responsible, caring, person - I like to do my bit for the environment. And seeing all that "FRESH", "SHINY", "SPARKLY",  Fruit and Veg, gave me an idea. "Why not buy my Fruit and Veg from here? Instead of the Supermarket, Now!".. That way, I will reduce my Carbon Footprint and help the local economy and ultimately, the environment - Wow, 3 Birds with 1 Stone..

I remembered from before, why I gave up on shopping at the local market, it was because of the amount of waste there was, you buy something "MARKET FRESH" that looks good, and 10 minutes later, by the time you get home, its already off and the only thing you can do is just throw it in the bin. The thing might have been cheaper, but it was always a case of false economy, where nothing lasts longer than 5 minutes.

This time, I decided to go to the most expensive stall, the one that claims to grow everything they sell, including the Bananas. As per usual, the fruit on display was immaculate, and as per usual, you are not allowed to pick your own. I don't mind that, because I hate picking fruit and veg, I really don't know how to pick fruit and veg, and I always end up with Rotten Tomatoes. So, I would rather have someone else do that for me, someone who knows what they are doing, and who is better than Market folk, people who live, eat and breathe Fruit and Veg..

10 Local Jaffa Oranges,
2lb Local South African Apricots,
1lb Local Egyptian Cherries,
2lb Local Tomatoes,
3 Local Cucumbers,
2 Local Pineapples,
2lb Local Bananas,
1 Local Brazilian Watermelon,
1 Yellow Melon,
4 Big Shiny Apples,

I thought because of the amount spent, that they might want to keep me as a customer, and they might just look after me for once, so I paid the money, thanked the vendor and went back home.. And as per usual, I was not disappointed, Market folk did not fail me. Half the fruit was rotten before I even got back home.. And the other, was rotten shortly after...

The moral of the story is this..  Market folk seem to like selling sub-standard fruit and veg, they seem to relish the fact that the stuff is shit, and what they do is put the good stuff at the front for show and give you the bad stuff from the back, and when the stuff at the front is no longer good or shiny, they put it at the back, doing a quick rotation, putting good stuff at the front, to make sure that you get rubbish stuff all the time...
